Useful Conversion of Solid Waste in Municipal Area:

Scientific and useful disposal of waste is the need of the hour. Salient features of the project are: Tender on BOOT Basis Plant site: Village Langariyawas. Municipal Solid Waste supplied to the contractor at plant site: 350 MT/Day. (Plant capacity 500 MT per day) Land Required by Contractor :25 Acres Revenue share with Jaipur Municipal Corporation is Rs. 1.01 /MT. Rs./MT/Year,Performance Guarantee (in the form of Bank Guarantee) : Rs. 20.00 Lakhs. Lease Period: 30 Years Lease Amount Re. 1.00 /Sq. Mtr./Year Letter of Acceptance has been issued to M/s Grasim Industries Limited Mumbai on 13.06.05. The agreement was executed. The work for establishing the Plant has been completed on 31.01.2007. Estimated cost of Project: 20 Crore.

Complete Sanitation Work

Complete Sanitation Work in 3 zones namely Hawamahal (East), Hawamahal (West), Motidungari and Pratap Nagar has been contracted out through national tendering to competent private SWM service providers.

Complete Sanitation Work Through Private Contract:

Complete Sanitation work in 3 zones namely Hawamahal Zone (East), Hawamahal (West), Motidungari Zone and Pratap Nagar has been contracted out through National Tendering.

Daily Shifting :

Dairies working in the Municipal Area are likely to be shifted out of the Municipal Area. The alternative sites have been allotted by JDA at village Surajpura, Ramalyawala and Harchand Pura.

Improved Slaughter House (Chainpura):

To give much awaited relief to the residents of Moti Dungari and Chandpole, the old Slaughter Houses located in these areas have been shifted at an Improved Slaughter House at Village Chainpura. Substantial work is already complete with an expenditure of Rs. 1.00 crore.

Learning from Best Practices:

It is our endeavor to learn from the best practices of municipal functioning in various areas of activities being practiced by other municipal bodies allover India and abroad. For this, continuous and sustained interaction and exposure tours of the Officers and Public Representatives are being organized. Of late, we had interaction with municipal authorities of Pocheon (Korea), Rajamundary (Andhra), Pune, Chandigarh etc

Citizen Help-Line Center:

JMC has established a Help-Line for resolution of Public Grievances regarding sanitation, sewer, street lights etc. This Help-Line works 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. The Municipal Corporation Help-line has provided relief to substantial number of citizens by now. This ultra-modern citizen helpline center has been constructed at a cost of Rs. 16 lac, with 50 per cent private contribution

Clean City Campaign:

Clean City Rally : Around 5000 students participated in the "Run for Clean City" Rally, held on 24.08.04. This Rally was flagged off by Hon'ble Chief Minister. The total project cost for Jaipur is 6.5 crore. Support of leading news paper Dainik Bhaskar, Oasis, SARAS Dairy, Sulabh International, Traders' Association etc. have been enlisted for effectively carrying out this campaign. Free publicity is being provided by Dainik Bhaskar News Paper. Jackets and Caps have been provided by Dainik Bhaskar. Oasis and Rainbow Mobile Companies have provided 3000 T-Shirts with the message "Clean Jaipur, Green Jaipur" for "Run For Clean City". SARAS (Dairy Federation) had served free of cost chilled milk to the participants in the Rally.

Urban Renewal in Walled City:

Considerable urban renewal work has been done in walled city area. These works include: Re-furbishing the buildings/markets in Pink color. Underground shifting of overhead electric/TV cable wires. Repair of Roads, Footpaths, etc. Repair and painting of medians/railings. Project for Heritage Walk: A project for Heritage Walk from Chhoti Chopar to Taal Katora has been prepared by JMC. The estimated cost of the proposed project is Rs. 60 lac. This will serve the purpose of showcasing the rich heritage to the tourists.

Global Art square at Jaleb Chowk (Proposed):

Under the direction of Hon?ble CM, JMC initiated a plans to develop Jaleb Chowk into a world class global art square. Now this work has been transferred to Jaipur Heritage. Project for Heritage Walk: A project for Heritage Walk from Chhoti Chopar to Taal Katora has been prepared by JMC. The estimated cost of the proposed project is Rs. 60 lac. This will serve the purpose of showcasing the rich heritage to the tourists.

Energy Saving (Proposed) :

JMC has invited tenders to implement the energy saving project on ESCO basis wherein the high consumption lights are to be replaced by energy saving lights. The above project is in process of approval. Minimum 30% energy saving will be possible. Total cost of project will be borne by the tenderer.

Re-habilitation Housing Scheme:

Sanjay Nagar Bhatta Basti: Scheme of 10,000 houses at a project cost of Rs. 100 crores for in-situ rehabilitation of Sanjay Nagar Bhatta basti and 17 adjoining slums in Vidyadhar Nagar has been taken up. Estimated unit cost of each house is Rs. 1,00,000/- The project shall be completed within 3 years. As per revised direction by GoR this project is to be taken up under JNNURM. Housing units of G+3 shall be constructed.

Re-habilitation Kharda Kachchi Basti :

Similar scheme to develop 335 houses at Kharda katchi basti at Ajmer Road has been taken up. The project cost is Rs. 1.67 crore. Out of four blocks work of 68 houses is complete.

JNNURM Projects:

SWM Project: A project costing 13.19 crore has been approved by GoI under which following works are to be undertaken: Renovation of 4 Garages at Lal Kothi, VD Zone, Chaugan and Jhalana 5 Garbage transfer stations at VD Zone, Jhalana, Galta Gate, Sushilpura, Gujjar Ki Thadi and Pratap Nagar. Renovation of 4 Garages at Lal Kothi, VD Zone, Chaugan and Jhalana Establishment of Landfill site at Langariawas ? Order for DPR given to M/s Ramky Hyderabad Compost Plant at Sevapura - EOI don, RPF issued. Technical & Financial bids to be submitted on 23.03.2007. Purchase of 94 containers of 3 Cms and 9 DP vehicle to be done ? Amount earmarked 101 lac.

2. Renovation of Chokadi Sarhad (Jaleb Chowk) Ward 58 : A project of Rs. 12.00 crore has been sanctioned by GoR. All NITs have been done. Work orders for 1.76 cr. has been given. Under this project roads, footpath, decorative lighting, landscaping etc works are to be done.

3. Sewerage Project Phase? II : A Project of Rs. 110 Cr. has been sanctioned by GoI. Under this project all the NIT have been done for following components: Sewerage Treatment Plant at Jaisinghpura Khor ? Rs. 22.50 Cr II Unit of STP at Delawas? Rs. 28.12 Cr. Power Generation Plant at Delawas ? 7.50 Cr Property Connections in walled city ? 36.69 Cr. Laying of sewer lines in 17 colonies from Transport Nagar to Ramgarh Mod ? length of sewer lines : 41 KM
